Company, established in Hong Kong as prescribed by Companies Ordinance of Chapter 32, should appoint the Certified Public Accountants to perform statutory audit. The audited financial statements are required to be approved by the shareholders in Annual General Meeting. In addition, Inland Revenue Department requests the submission of audited financial statements with Profits Tax Return for the assessment purpose.

Moreover, the audited financial statements also act as an indicator of commercial decision for the investors and the creditors, as they can understand the operations of the enterprises through the audited financial statements.
